HVAC Service Technician
Service technicians perform field activities associated with installing, maintaining, and servicing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide repair and maintenance support for boilers, furnaces, and air conditioning units in a residential and commercial setting.
- Perform routine and emergency service on boilers, furnaces, and air conditioning units. This includes a working knowledge of compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of boilers, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
- Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise that would keep the equipment from functioning properly. Use experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
- Maintain and manage truck inventory and/or job toolboxes in an accurate and orderly manner as well as adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-year M-Tech HVAC degree in basic service and installation of HVAC equipment.
- Valid Driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- EPA Refrigeration Certification.
- Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of refrigeration and heating.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance.
